About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to help drive financial performance and operational decision-making at scale. This role will play a key leadership position in supporting a high-growth, healthcare-focused business with a complex operating model. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of FP&A, physician compensation modeling, healthcare billing (especially professional fees), and M&A due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Drive monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and business unit performance insights.
- Develop dashboards and financial models to support strategic decisions.
Healthcare Finance Expertise:
- Oversee financial processes related to physician compensation, including productivity-based models, deferred compensation, and benefits.
- Support billing and revenue cycle teams in optimizing professional fee structures and improving cash flow.
- Work closely with operations and clinical teams to align financial goals with patient care objectives.
High-Volume Environment Readiness:
- Manage financial operations in a dynamic, high-transaction setting with complex department-level cost structures.
- Implement scalable processes for growth, automation, and risk mitigation.
Mergers & Acquisitions Support:
- Assist with financial due diligence, quality of earnings, and integration planning for acquisitions or partnerships.
- Partner with executive leadership to model strategic investment decisions.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor finance team members across FP&A, accounting, and reporting functions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HR, Revenue Cycle, and Legal to support strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive financial experience, with at least 3 years in a healthcare leadership role.
- Strong expertise in FP&A and data-driven financial modeling.
- Experience with physician compensation, healthcare billing (especially professional services), and reimbursement models.
- Exposure to M&A, due diligence, and integration processes.
- Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, ADP, Domo, or similar BI tools).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prioritizing competing deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and a proactive mindset in driving improvements.
