Overview
A growing professional services group with a law firm and a roofing/home services company under the same ownership is hiring a high-level Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to take full ownership of financial operations across both businesses.
This role is ideal for someone strong in QuickBooks, comfortable managing multiple entities, and confident handling both traditional accounting and industry-specific financial workflows.
What You’ll Handle
Full-Cycle Bookkeeping (Both Companies)
- Own all accounting inside QuickBooks
- Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger accuracy
- Journal entries and month-end close support
Law Firm Financials
- Maintain and reconcile client trust accounts
- Track client case costs and reimbursements
- Support compliance around handling of client funds
- Prepare legal expense tracking and reporting
Roofing / Home Services Financials
- Track job costs, vendor payments, and materials expenses
- Monitor project-related income and expenses
- Assist with revenue tracking tied to service jobs
Payroll & Reporting
- Oversee or process payroll
- Prepare:

- P&L statements
- Expense reports
- Budget tracking
- Cash flow visibility
- Assist CPA with year-end close (1099s, W-2s, documentation)
Financial Organization & Controls
- Keep books clean, structured, and audit-ready
- Spot discrepancies and resolve quickly
- Improve internal accounting processes
Qualifications
- 5+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Experience handling multiple entities preferred
- Trust or escrow accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
- Highly organized and self-directed
