Accounting Clerk – Growing Underground Utilities Distributor
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing distributor of underground utility products and materials. This organization proudly supports contractors, municipalities, and infrastructure projects by delivering high-quality supplies and reliable service. They are seeking a dependable Accounting Clerk to join their expanding team.
Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department’s daily financial operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting
- Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Perform data entry and ensure financial data integrity
- Assist with audits and prepare required documentation
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and efficiency
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
