Performs technical, administrative, control and bookkeeping duties inherent with the review of approved assets prior to booking. Major responsibilities include quality control by reviewing that signed legal document and loan input are within the approved and established lines, verify terms and conditions and Line of credit availability. Also serves as back-up in the asset approval process

DUTIES OF THE POSITION


The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Review loans and letters of credit input before approval in the system ensuring that transactions meet terms and conditions of line of credit and legal documents

  • Assures loans are in compliance with terms, rate (including cost of funds being properly reflected), verify G/L, appropriate approvals, documents and credit authorization, disbursal amounts, and correct general ledger

  • Approve Loan, Investments and Letters of Credit transactions in the absence of the AVP Loans & L/C Team Leader

  • Monitor legal documentation, audit safekeeping, and check pending documents in loans and lines of credit and follow up

  • Assist with calculations, investigations and answer branch and customer inquiries

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest on loans, discounts, commissions, averages and percentages

  • Prepare Collateralized Based Lending daily report

  • Provide information, as needed, related to risk management, auditing, operation, and quality improvement, as required

  • Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees

  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position

  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)

  • Travel as required

  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested

  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:


COMPUTER: Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Suite. Ability to operate E-IBS is preferred, but not required


EDUCATION:

Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four year College


EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven years of banking experience
