Join our team as a Logistics Operations Manager, leading the charge in warehouse oversight and driver coordination for a thriving wholesale distribution firm. You'll be at the helm of ensuring smooth inventory management, prompt deliveries, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. Core Duties and Responsibilities Warehousing Excellence:

  • Lead the team in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. Aim for precision and speed in all operations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to keep inventory impeccable.
  • Strategically optimize warehouse space for ultimate efficiency.

Driver Oversight:

  • Orchestrate delivery schedules, focusing on timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Guide drivers to ensure they excel in punctuality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep an eye on driver metrics, offering feedback and ensuring compliance with DOT standards and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot any delivery setbacks including delays, client grievances, or vehicle hiccups.

Team Engagement:

  • Coach and motivate a team of 15-20 warehouse staff and drivers, cultivating a cooperative work atmosphere.
  • Conduct appraisals, address challenges, and spearhead training to boost team prowess.
  • Balance staffing to meet operational peaks by scheduling shifts and managing leave requests.

Safety Protocols:

  • Uphold warehouse and delivery safety, adhering to OSHA and company policies.
  • Keep precise records for driver and vehicle inspections as well as safety drills.
  • Introduce measures to prevent accidents and ensure safe product handling.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Measure and share performance metrics such as order precision and delivery punctuality.
  • Partner with sales, procurement, and customer care to swiftly resolve client issues.
  • Report to leadership on warehouse outputs, suggesting actionable improvements.

Candidate Requirements Experience:

  • A successful track record of 3-5 years in supervisory roles within warehousing or logistics.
  • At least 2 years in driver management and delivery coordination.

Educational Background:

  • High school diploma required; higher education in logistics or supply chain is a plus.

Competencies:

  • Commanding leadership and motivational abilities, adept in managing varied teams.
  • Proficient in WMS and other logistic management tools.
  • Well-versed in DOT rules and vehicle maintenance protocols.
  • Top-notch organizational and problem-solving flair.
  • Able to adapt in bustling environments with competing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of inventory methods and OSHA safety norms.

Physical & Scheduling:

  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and handling warehouse physical duties.
  • Flexible scheduling, ready to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in distributing fences and shutters wholesale.
  • Knowledge of GPS or fleet management tech.
  • History of optimizing warehouse or delivery processes.
