Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and oversight of corporate freight solutions as well as managing day-to-day shipping and receiving departmental duties to ensure on-time shipment of customer orders.

Job Duties

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments

• Reviewing customer orders and creating documents to ensure order shipment accuracy

• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary

• Tracking and fixing shipping errors

• Review of bills and invoices related to shipping/receiving

• Managing shipping budgets and establishing freight carrier contracts

• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards

• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized

• Develop and integrate shipping processes based on customer specific requirements

• Maintain and replenish warehouse shipping/packing supplies

Skills and Qualifications

• Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication

• EDI E-Commerce and NetSuite software knowledge recommended

• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent customer service and client relations skills

• Keep organization and time management skills

• Good collaboration and team work abilities

• Great leadership and goal-setting skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Advanced data analysis and data visualization

• Expert freight/material transport management

• Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes

• Understanding of manufacturing supply chain logistics, including effective freight management solutions
