As a dispatcher at Orange Elevator Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our field service team. You will be responsible for managing incoming service requests, coordinating technician schedules, and maintaining clear communication between customers, technicians, and management. Your ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems quickly, and remain calm under pressure will help us deliver exceptional service to our clients.

  • Receive and Prioritize Calls: Answer incoming calls from customers reporting elevator issues, requesting maintenance, or seeking information. Assess the urgency of each call and prioritize accordingly, especially in emergency situations.
  • Coordinate Technician Schedules: Assign service calls to elevator technicians based on location, availability, and skill set. Optimize routes and schedules to ensure timely response and efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor Job Status: Track the progress of each job in real-time, update technicians on any changes, and communicate with customers about estimated arrival times and service updates.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Log all service requests, dispatches, and technician activities in the company's dispatch software. Ensure all information is up-to-date and easily accessible for reporting and follow-up.
  • Communicate Effectively: Service as the primary point of contact between customers, technicians, and management. Relay important information clearly and promptly, and escalate urgent issues to supervisors as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly assess and respond to unexpected situations, such as technician delays, emergency breakdowns, or scheduling conflicts. Find solutions that minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Support Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all dispatching activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Provide technicians with necessary information about site access, safety requirements, and special instructions.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Follow up with customers after service calls to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs.
