Like our paramedic who wrote this, you now have the opportunity to be a compassionate and experienced Contract (1099) Paramedic with the MobileMedix Plus team caring for Hospital Care at Home patients! You will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to assess needs, provide care, and coordinate services. Unlike EMS work, you can see over multiple visits the difference that your care makes in the life of each patient.
The Contract Paramedic must be willing to work the following:
- Overnight shift (18:45 - 06:35). Shift differential provided for overnight shifts.
- Cover at least 2 shifts per week, with one of those on a weekend
- Reliable transportation
About this job
Provide overnight shift coverage to supplement nurse and physician staffing for Hospital Care at Home visits. Monitor and manage acute level care in the home. Routine medication and IV fluid administration, delivery and set up of oxygen concentrators and nebulizers, minor wound care, and acquisition of 12-lead EKGs. Receive direction from physicians, APPs, and nurses. Handle technology and supply packages for use in the home. Communicate with Care Center and team members throughout the shift and during each in-home visit. Document all activities within EPIC EMR.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patient in at home setting and provide support care
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans
- Perform medication reconciliation and administration
- Conduct in-home visits with patients and communicate back to care team
Starting pay: $29 per hour
Overnight Shift differential: $3 per hour

Requirements:
- Florida Paramedic license
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Florida driver's license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
