Job Summary:
The Asphalt Distributor Truck Driver will operate an asphalt distributor truck, applying liquid asphalt to road surfaces in preparation for paving. The ideal candidate has experience in road construction, understands safety protocols, and is reliable and team-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate an asphalt distributor truck to apply asphalt emulsion on roads and surfaces

Read and interpret job tickets, maps, and instructions

Control application rate, temperature, and distribution width

Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on the truck and spray bar

Work closely with paving and construction crews

Load and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner

Ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements:
-
Valid CDL Class A with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (preferred)

Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating an asphalt distributor truck

Knowledge of road construction and asphalt paving processes

Ability to work long hours and in varying weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed

Strong attention to safety and detail

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 10 or 30 certification

Experience with computerized application controls
-
Previous work with DOT or municipal projects
Schedule:
-
Monday to Friday (Some weekends and overtime may be required)
-
Day and night shifts available depending on project
