About the Role:

The Steward / Dishwasher Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the kitchen and dining areas within our accommodation and food services environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the dishwashing team to ensure all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and ready for use in a timely manner, supporting smooth kitchen operations. The supervisor will implement and enforce health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all sanitation regulations to provide a safe environment for staff and guests. Additionally, this role involves coordinating workflow, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, and training new team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Ultimately, the Steward / Dishwasher Supervisor ensures that the back-of-house operations contribute to an exceptional guest experience by maintaining impeccable hygiene and operational readiness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual - Spanish / English
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage workflow effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospitality or accommodation setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary terminology.
  • First aid and workplace safety training.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dishwashing team to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of all kitchenware and utensils.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate dishwashing staff to promote teamwork, productivity, and professional development.
  • Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes and utensils to support food preparation and service.
