Purpose of Position

Task & Responsibilities Customers Facing/Sales:

  • Consolidate monthly demand plan from sales team and clients including expected delivery dates and lead times.
  • Support sourcing strategies and opportunities according to demand plan to ensure competitive cost and fill rate
  • Control category specifications, prices, loading locations, logistics and quality updated.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure all processes and payments are done on time

Tasks & Responsibilities Growers facing/ Sourcing:

  • In addition, this position is also supporting the Grapes Sales, and Product Management group with their daily administrative responsibilities on the Berries Category. The associate will analyze, and review purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices related to sourcing, packing and delivering product to the different Del Monte Distribution Centers; manage inventory materials at the DC level and supplier location.
  • Generate reports requested by the group to monitor costs/sales and status of each task to improve the operating income on the categories.
  • Responsible for processing product and/or service invoices for payment based on the contract payment terms negotiated.
  • Make sure all Food Safety audits and certificates are up to date with all grower/suppliers.

Accountabilities:

  • Sales- Assist Mgmt with updating forecast, weekly and Monthly demand plan
  • Manage cost in the system for all location
  • Sourcing- Manage cost in the system for all location / Other COO
  • Inventory management, Allocation & Distribution. (At Consolidation point and DC’s)
  • Ensure product quality and shelf life within our DC’s and other locations
  • Send POs to the growers
  • Manage Grower Contracts ending dates and renewals
  • Ensure Food Safety Audits and certifications are up to date (Azzule system)
  • Quality deductions based on pack outs and USDA Inspections (CCO other than Mexico)
  • Process Invoices for payment for product purchase once product is received and cleared.
  • Generate and follow thru on Advance payments and liquidations (All growers)
  • Assist on setting up new vendors in the system
  • Communication with Sales & Transportation to secure loads
  • Communicate to the growers any quality issues.
  • If protection granted make sure PO is on Hold with notes in the system
  • Review quality inspections on inbound product to the DM DCs
  • Set up transfers between facilities (Direct from grower facility to DM)

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in business or related field
  • Previous experience on coordination and inventory management.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Produce Pro,)
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving with a strategic and analytical mind
  • Replenishment activities and terms expertise
