SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The position of Procurement Manager is tasked with overseeing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for all IA Stage projects. This role demands an individual with exceptional organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers. The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are completed within the established timeline and budgetary constraints. This role is accountable for the acquisition of all inventory, supplies, and capital goods for the company. Furthermore, a key responsibility of the Procurement Manager is to assess and evaluate vendors as-well-as determine optimal inventory and reorder levels that maximize cost-effectiveness.
MAJOR ROLE DUTIES:
· Responsible for efficient purchasing of inventory, supplies, and capital equipment for the company. Receives purchase requisitions and verifies for accuracy and authorization(s). Sources new vendors when necessary.
· Prepares and issues purchase orders; determines and negotiates prices, delivery and credit terms; buys according to established company policies and procedures; maintains accurate purchasing records.
· Responsible for evaluating, assessing, and selecting vendors based on capabilities, performance as well as consistent quality assurance. Maintains rapport and good working relationships with vendors; keeps accurate vendor records.
· Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet project requirements
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery time.
· In conjunction with contract accounting - negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
· Track inventory levels with Manufacturing Director / Project Managers for in-house and on-site requirements.
· Evaluate inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relationship to the company’s cost of capital.
· Prepares monthly reports and reviews forecasts of purchasing commitments.
· Collaborate with project managers to forecast procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials
· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
· Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform purchasing decisions
· Prepares annual vendor performance assessment per QMS procedures and assists vendors with compliance.
· Expedites purchase orders as necessary and ensures delivery of purchased items for uninterrupted manufacturing flow.
MINOR ROLE DUTIES:
· Maintains Approved Vendor List and other requirements per procedures.
· Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested.
· Aides in backup to Accounting team members.
· Additional duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES AND AUTHORITIES:
· BS/BA required or 3 years experience in procurement/planning management
· Proven experience working as a Purchasing Manager in the Construction industry - Excellent negotiation and communication skills
· Experience working within ERP, MRP systems.
· Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for data-driven decision-making and results-oriented.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects-prioritization, planning, and task delegation.
· High degree of business ethics and accountability.
· Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management.
· Proficient in using procurement / Accounting software and tools.
· Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform purchasing decisions.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
