We are looking for an experienced Lead Accountant to manage financial operations for our client's company in the West Palm Beach, FL area. This role involves overseeing the entire accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making through detailed analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining robust financial controls.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Lead job cost analysis to optimize project profitability and resource allocation.
• Handle billing and collections to ensure timely payments and effective cash flow management.
• Forecast cash flow needs and prepare reports for executive leadership.
• Collaborate with project managers and executives to align financial practices with business goals.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain operational efficiency.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage accounting functions and generate detailed financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with construction accounting standards and practices.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction industry.
• Proficiency in managing month-end close and general ledger reconciliation.
• Strong skills in preparing financial statements and conducting audits.
• Expertise in job costing and resource allocation analysis.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.
• Ability to develop and manage cash flow forecasts.
• Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across teams
