We are in search of an experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in financial management and reporting. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the accounting department and supervising the financial staff to ensure the smooth operation of all finance matters.
2. Ensuring all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation.
3. Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
4. Overseeing the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
5. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting and managing our relationship with external auditors.
6. Managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and implementing financial strategies to drive business performance.
7. Identifying potential areas of cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
8. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.
3. In-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting is a must.
4. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
6. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
