Position Summary:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development & Market Integration will be a key leader, driving the organization's growth and expansion efforts through strategic partnerships and seamless market integration. This role will champion initiatives to increase the HMO's market share, enhance provider collaboration, and streamline integration across new and existing markets. The SVP will ensure all business development activities support the HMO's commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality, and affordable healthcare to its members.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies in alignment with the HMO's mission, vision, and financial goals.
- Identify, assess, and pursue new market opportunities in collaboration with the SVP, Market Strategy.
- Provide visionary leadership for emerging opportunities, ensuring alignment of strategic business development goals across all departments.
Market Integration & Growth
- Oversee market integration activities, ensuring smooth operational transitions for new markets and partnerships.
- Drive initiatives to expand provider networks, improve member access, and enhance the organization's competitive positioning.
- Manage complex projects that integrate business development with market operations, optimizing efficiencies and supporting sustainable growth.
Relationship Management & Innovation
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and community partners.
- Foster a culture of innovation by identifying emerging trends, technologies, and best practices that support market integration and business expansion.
- Lead negotiations and partnership agreements that deliver value to members and strengthen the HMO's market presence.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in managed care, health insurance, or healthcare delivery.
- Demonstrated success in business development, or strategic planning within a health plan or HMO environment.
- Proven track record of leading business development initiatives in competitive healthcare markets.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into execution.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of managed care operations, regulatory environment, and emerging healthcare trends.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive and board levels.
