SR DIRECTOR, CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT
In-Office: Based full-time at CELSIUS® Headquarters in Boca Raton, FL
Travel Requirements: Up to 40% domestic travel. This is not a driving position.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Senior Director of Category Development, you’ll lead the Celsius Holdings energy portfolio retailer-facing category strategy across the US and elevate how the Energy category is defined, planned, and grown with our key customers. This is a high-impact commercial leadership role responsible for advancing our category thought leadership, shaping category and assortment strategies with top retailers, and driving mutual growth for CELSIUS®, Alani Nu, and our broader portfolio.
You’ll bring deep CPG and beverage category expertise, exceptional commercial instincts, and the ability to influence senior retailers through data-driven storytelling and strong strategic perspective. You’ll also lead and develop a high-performing team of Category Development Managers and Senior Managers while building scalable capabilities that strengthen Celsius Holdings commercial excellence.
Requirements
Experience:
- 10–12+ years of progressive experience in Category Development, Category Management, Commercial Strategy, or related CPG commercial roles.
- Proven track record influencing senior retail decision-makers at National Accounts.
- Strong understanding of syndicated data and retailer data platforms including Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, SPINS, and retailer portals such as Walmart Luminate and 7E.
- Beverage or energy category experience is strongly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Category Leadership & Retail Influence:
- Define and lead Celsius Holdings portfolio category strategy across US, aligning category vision with enterprise commercial priorities.
- Build compelling category narratives, frameworks, and insights that position Celsius Holdings as a category thought leader.
- Shape retailer perspectives on assortment, space, flow, pricing, and promotional levers to unlock incremental growth.
Team Leadership & Capability Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Category Development Senior Managers, Managers, and Analysts.
- Establish standards of excellence, best-in-class tools, and scalable processes for retailer-facing category work.
Cross-Functional Commercial Integration:
- Partner with Sales, RGM, Shopper Marketing, and Commercial Planning & Enablement to align customer strategies and category priorities.
- Integrate category development inputs into AOP, innovation deployment, and Joint Business Planning cycles.
Advanced Analytics & Strategic Insight:
- Oversee the integration of syndicated, shopper, panel, and retailer data into enterprise category strategies.
- Lead category forecasting, whitespace identification, and long-range category roadmapping.

The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and location. The final offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications. This position may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (subject to company plans).
