Job Summary:

Position Title: Special Projects Administrator/Customer Service
Location: Miami, FL 33126
Duration: 3+months
Work Schedule: 7.45 AM - 4.45 PM or 8.30 AM - 5.30 PM (TBD)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:


This is a Seasonal frontline clerical position in a high-volume call center environment, serving as the first point of contact for taxpayers on behalf of the department:-

  • Responsible for managing a continuous flow of incoming telephone calls and emails, delivering professional, courteous, and accurate assistance related to ad valorem taxes, auto tag renewals, Local Business Tax, Driver's License, and Tangible Personal Property.
  • This is a telephone-intensive role that requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to remain calm and solution-focused when handling a large volume of calls, and a high level of professionalism under pressure.
  • The specialist must navigate and update multiple internal systems in real time, clearly explain Florida Statutes and County procedures, and use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, etc.) for communication, documentation, and daily workflow.
  • Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
  • Seasonal staff play a critical role during peak operational periods, such as tax deadlines or seasonal surges, and must be available to relocate based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Navigating and updating multiple internal systems in real time during active calls.
  • Explaining Florida Statutes and departmental procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Handling complaints professionally and escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, etc.) for communication, documentation, and daily workflow.
  • Assisting with back-office functions, including reviewing documents, preparing rejection letters, and processing LBT applications.

** Key Responsibilities**

  • Answer high volumes of taxpayer calls and emails in English and Spanish.
  • Assist with inquiries about real estate, tangible personal property, tag renewals, local business taxes, and driver licenses.
  • Use multiple systems to update records in real time.
  • Deliver excellent service while maintaining professionalism under pressure.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling and possible relocation.
  • One year of advanced clerical experience, including customer service and computer use.
