Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Prospecting calls - Spend time authentically connecting with customers
- Be able to make a sales pitch to potential customers
- Negotiate honestly and fairly to influence customers to work with Direct Traffic Solutions
- Always be proactive in your communication
- Oversee daily shipments, make sure they pick-up and deliver as per written agreements
- Proactively work to resolve issues for customers (creates increased customer loyalty over time)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
Job Requirements:
- College degree preferred, high school diploma with two years proven freight brokerage or sales experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, the Internet and ability to quickly learn new IT systems and platforms a must
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- Assertive, passionate, and dedicated to succeed
- Ability to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
- Ability to work in a blended role of Operations and Sales within an office environment
- Manage complex customer situations promptly and professionally
- Ability to multi-task
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Bi-lingual a plus.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire for career advancement
(New College Graduates obtaining a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Marketing, Sales or other Business-related majors are encouraged to apply too.)
