Job DescriptionHB Capital Group (“HB”) is a privately held real estate investment company headquartered in Miami, Florida. The company specializes in the acquisition, development, and asset management of value-add hospitality, residential, retail, industrial, and office assets in primary and secondary markets throughout the United States. Roles & Responsibilities
· Analyze asset-level and portfolio performance, including NOI drivers, leasing activity, and capital expenditures; track high-level KPI’s.
· Assist in lease review and negotiations alongside counsel and Director of Asset Management; monitor critical dates within assigned portfolio (lease expirations, renewals, loan maturity, etc.).
· Prepare and maintain financial models (cash flow, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis) using both Argus Enterprise software and excel.
· Review and provide variance analysis & commentary for monthly and quarterly performance reporting.
· Formulate annual budgets and business plans across each asset.
· Conduct market research (comps, absorption, rental rates, cap rates) to inform leasing, refinancing, and disposition strategies.
· Participate in weekly and biweekly update calls with property management, leasing brokers, construction teams, etc.
· Coordinate and facilitate lender compliance regarding debt covenants, providing financial information, monitoring the release of escrow accounts, and maintaining compliant physical conditions.
· Display understanding of cash balances and availability of funds for projects and cash flow management of operations and capital improvements.
· Conduct regular site visits and assist management and leasing teams, where needed.
· Establish key relationships (city, economic development, police, other property owners, brokerage community, etc.) in relevant jurisdictions.
· Alongside Facilities team, establish preventive and predictive maintenance schedules across all assets.
· Identify and manage risks associated with the portfolio, including security, insurance, environmental and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, acquisitions, valuation, or financial analysis.
· Familiarity with office, retail, industrial, and/or multifamily assets required.
· Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups) and Argus Enterprise.
· Understanding of financial statements, lease structures, and real estate valuation methodologies.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; master’s or MBA preferred.
· Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and BI tools preferred.
