Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. As the Restaurant Supervisor, you will oversee the dining experience, ensuring that guests receive top-notch service while managing and training staff to maintain high standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and support the front-of-house team.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the serving staff to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Manage daily operations including inventory control, cash handling, and POS system management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Perform as host when needed: welcoming guests, seating, and managing reservations in OpenTable.
- Assist on the floor when necessary by running food, clearing tables, and serving water or wine.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management on staffing needs and scheduling.
- Oversee shift management to guarantee smooth operations during peak hours.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and reinforce training initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Shift Leader, Head Server, or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong background in fine dining or high-volume casual dining environments.
- Excellent customer service and hospitality management skills.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
