Job Summary:
Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing key business functions, driving strategic growth, and ensuring operational excellence within the organization. This role is operating and managing all aspects of the business to ensure operational excellence and drives business performance. In this role you will be a leader, committed to delivering exceptional client and guest operations. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations for our clients and employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining service standards, managing staff, optimizing operational efficiency, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring client satisfaction across assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Lead market expansion, innovation, and competitive positioning initiatives
- Assess industry trends and adapt strategies to stay ahead of market changes
- Lead cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and scalability
- Ensure alignment of departmental objectives with overall corporate strategy
- Help ownership team develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with company goals
- Assist ownership team to establish a clear vision and mission to drive company culture and performance
Business Operations & Performance:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure operational efficiency across all departments
- Drive innovation, process improvements, and digital transformation efforts
- Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard business interests
- Oversee daily business operations and ensure streamlined processes
- Set & Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency
- Optimize company resources to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Financial Management & Profitability:
- Collaborate with the CFO & COO to develop & manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
- Ensure fiscal management & profitability through revenue growth and cost-control initiatives
- Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
Leadership & Organizational Development:
- Recruit, build and lead a high-performing executive team to ensure leadership continuity
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Provide strong leadership to department heads and key personnel
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance
Vendor and Third-Party Software Management:
- Manage and support the daily operations of multiple locations, ensuring all processes align with company standards ensure operational efficiency
- Collaborate with vendors on creating employee accounts, invoicing, and payroll processing
- Manage vendor accounts in NextCrew, Fieldglass, Simplify, SimplyVMS, Work Records, Beeline, or other third-party platforms to track hours, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate information
- Strengthen and grow partnerships with clients identifying opportunities to grow revenue
- Lead and develop on-site managers and staff, ensuring consistent service quality and engagement
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of hospitality management at hotel or hospitality property management group
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management
- Experience in staffing operations, client management and employee relations
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiencies and revenue growth
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute company vision effectively
- Knowledge of emerging trends in technology and guest services
- 5-7 years’ experience managing a multi-site team
- Must be flexible to travel up to 50% of time
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, team building and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth, innovation, and operational excellence
