BASIC SUMMARY:
Maintain the grounds of the Club & Spa. Thoroughly clean offices, restaurants, public area, as well as the Sales Center/offices, Corporate offices and model houses. Professionalism, friendly and outgoing personality, enthusiasm, and a helpful attitude are the cornerstone characteristics of this position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Power wash walkways and bar areas.
- Hose pool decks.
- Pick up palm debris and palm fans around all garden areas.
- Collect garbage around pool area and tennis courts.
- Sweep/blow cement walkways around tennis courts and Golf Cart Barn.
- Clean tile floors in locker room areas.
- Polish wood floors.
- Clean toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes and/or cleaning agents.
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves thoroughly.
- Replenish amenities and supplies in public restrooms and locker rooms.
- Visually inspect for cleanliness and appearance and indicate completion of assigned areas.
- Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to Housekeeping Management or Manager on Duty.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in Housekeeping Department preferred.
- Prior experience in grounds keeping strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (such as labels and safety information) in English.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
- Provide excellent customer service skills.
- Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Maintain focus in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Work with little or no direct supervision.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
- Schedule vacations during the off-season months.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:
- Grasp, lift, push/pull, carry or transport up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Perform the duties of this job while exposed to sun and hot weather conditions for prolonged periods.
- Stand and move for length of scheduled shift.
- Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
