This is Hybrid role (3 days in office /2 days remote)

Interactive Brokers seeks an insightful and self-driven Economic & Financial Writer to develop engaging, concise lessons for an innovative microlearning app aimed at enhancing financial literacy. This role is designed for a skilled communicator with a strong economics background who can transform complex economic concepts into digestible and impactful micro-lessons. Prior experience with instructional design, content writing for educational platforms, or microlearning environments is preferred, though not required.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to combine your economic expertise with educational innovation, directly contributing to how users learn and understand financial concepts through microlearning. From crafting concise lesson modules to developing interactive learning experiences, you'll play a crucial role in creating educational content that empowers users to build their financial knowledge progressively.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

  • Research, write, and structure comprehensive lessons that transform complex economic and financial topics into digestible microlearning modules suitable for progressive skill building.
  • Develop engaging educational content across various formats including text-based lessons, interactive exercises, and assessment materials tailored for mobile learning.
  • Create learning pathways and curricula that guide users through fundamental to advanced economic concepts, ensuring logical progression and knowledge retention
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice that balances professionalism with fun, making financial education accessible and relatable.
  • Monitor engagement metrics, track success against objectives, and provide actionable recommendations for future lessons.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, compliance officers, and financial experts to ensure content accuracy, usability, and regulatory compliance.

What required skill's you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related fields; advanced degrees (e.g., MA/MBA/CFA) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of economics, investments, and financial markets, with the ability to translate complex topics into digestible content.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the content development function while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and navigate challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Preferred qualifications: Experience developing educational content for digital platforms
