Job DescriptionSalary: Commission Pay - 25% (average $1,200 - $1,500+ weekly)
Stepp's Towing and Heavy Transportis looking to add Heavy Haul Transport Drivers to our team! We are seeking candidates who possess a positive attitude, customer service skills, and problem-solving abilities. We are looking for a Class A CDL driver for a local/regional transportation position. We run lowboy, Landoll trailers, step-deck, flatbed trailers, as well as heavy-duty rollbacks. Drivers will need to be familiar with or experienced with High, Wide, and Heavy loads. Previous experience hauling heavy equipment is a must!
Manual transmissions only in our fleet.
All drivers must be equipped with their own set of tools once they are assigned the truck.
No Slip Seating!
Essential Functions:
The ideal experienced driver must be able to do the following:
- Maneuver tractor and trailers into loading or unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew and checking that the vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Be willing to pull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks.
- Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary.
- Secure equipment for transport, using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
- Operate a multi-axle trailer to facilitate the transportation of heavy equipment.
- Effectively operate GPS mapping
- Work in all weather conditions.
Physical Requirements for the Position Include:
- Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing, significant physical strength, and stamina
Qualifications:
- Class A CDL License required with 2 years of verifiable experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card required
- TWIC Card (will have 30 days from hire to apply for)
- HAZMAT endorsement (will have 90 days from hire to get)
- Must be registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
- Must be able to pass a background check /drug test.
- Must have a Clean Driving Record for at least the last 3 years.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission truck.

Commission Pay:
- 25% Commission- Our drivers on average earn $1,200 - $1,500+ week
- Pay guarantee of $1000/week (whichever is greater)
- This pay structure shouldnot be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.
