We are seeking a dedicated Executive Sous Chef for an upscale restaurant who also has a high level of experience within banquets. If you enjoy mentoring teams, with years of experience within upscale restaurants in the Miami area, do not miss this opportunity to join an amazing culinary team!
Executive Sous Chef Requirements:
- Must have 7–10 years’ experience in a professional, busy kitchen and/or fine dining restaurant environment
- Must have 2–5 years’ experience with a leading Chef role, with heavy banquet experience
- Experience with event planning, and banquet menu development, & associated costs
- Culinary Certificate or Degree from an accredited culinary agency is preferred with a Serve Safe Certification
- Ability to cultivate a culture of innovation, teamwork, and culinary excellence within the kitchen
- Experience with upscale Latin cuisine is a plus!
Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the kitchen, such as menu plans, operations, recipes, portion and inventory control, food quality, and employee supervision
- Must provide a consistent product and experience achieving revenue targets and managing costs
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and management team to ensure the kitchen operates seamlessly
- Supervise food preparation, presentation, and quality to maintain the highest culinary standards
- Support the implementation and enforcement of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Contribute to inventory management, cost control, and vendor relationships
