About the Role:

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the full spectrum of HR functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with employment laws. This position is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture by addressing employee relations, administering benefits, and facilitating talent acquisition and retention strategies. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, providing guidance on policies, performance management, and conflict resolution. By maintaining accurate HR records and generating insightful reports, this role supports data-driven decision-making to enhance organizational effectiveness. Ultimately, the Human Resources Generalist contributes to building a motivated, engaged, and high-performing workforce that drives the company’s success across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a human resources role with exposure to generalist functions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations applicable within the United States.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite most specially with the WFN-ADP software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent is an advantage but not a must.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment or within multiple states.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and labor relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or participate in HR projects and change management initiatives.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting related to HR metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment lifecycle including job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, ensuring compliance and employee understanding.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and promoting a respectful workplace environment.
  • Maintain and update HR records, prepare reports on HR metrics, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support performance management processes by assisting with evaluations, goal setting, and employee development initiatives.
  • Coordinate training sessions and professional development programs to enhance employee skills and organizational capabilities.
  • Collaborate with management to implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational objectives and culture.

Skills:

The required skills enable the HR Generalist to efficiently manage daily HR operations, from recruitment to employee relations, ensuring compliance and smooth workflow. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with employees at all levels and resolving workplace issues effectively. Proficiency with HRIS and data management tools supports accurate record-keeping and insightful reporting, which inform strategic decisions. Preferred skills such as certification and experience with multi-state regulations enhance the ability to navigate complex legal environments and lead HR initiatives.
