Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of PBACO by overseeing general ledger activities, supporting month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and compliance in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Lead or support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial records

Assist with financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis

Support budgeting and forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Assist with audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses

Collaborate with operations and clinical teams to ensure proper expense allocation

Monitor and analyze expenses, accruals, and revenue recognition

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

4–7 years of progressive accounting experience

Healthcare, ACO, or medical services experience strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Experience with month-end close and financial reporting

Proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting systems and ERPs

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
