As Senior VP of Finance, you’ll be instrumental in steering financial strategy, ensuring fiscal integrity, and advancing organizational goals through leadership and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations, including:
- General ledger, cash & investment reconciliations
- Accounts payable/accounts receivable, collections, grant administration
- Fixed asset management and revenue recognition
- Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, highlighting trends, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies
- Oversee collection efforts, sub-ledger adjustments, and customized donor financial analyses
- Strengthen internal controls, maintain policy documentation, and optimize financial systems for accuracy and scalability
- Develop annual and semi-annual organizational budgets, incorporating strategic input and financial forecasts
- Manage annual audit processes and regulatory filings; support grant-related fiscal responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive annual financial reports and maintain clear communication with fiscal agents
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, overseeing recruitment, performance, and development

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- CPA certification or equivalent is a plus
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with leadership responsibilities
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial analysis, risk management, and ERP optimization
- Nonprofit experience is a strong advantage (but not required)
- Advanced skills with accounting systems, Excel, and general office tools
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent management skills, comfortable in public speaking, and fluency in Spanish is a bonus
