Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant to join our team onsite in West Palm Beach. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting across multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AIA project accounting and a strong understanding of construction billing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of AIA billing, including preparation, submission, and tracking of payment applications.
- Maintain accurate job cost records and monitor budget-to-actual performance.
- Process accounts payable and receivable specific to construction projects.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AIA billing and project accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
