How You Will Make an Impact
Core Cost Accounting Leadership
- Lead the redesign and implementation of a new cost accounting structure aligned with business operations and Oracle functionality.
- Serve as the primary finance lead for Oracle costing and manufacturing modules, from requirements design through testing, go‑live, and stabilization.
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) for costing, inventory flows, and manufacturing accounting within Oracle.
Standard Cost Management
- Build and manage a comprehensive standard cost framework that supports multiple business units and production environments.
- Review and validate BOMs, routings, labor/machine rates, and overhead structures to ensure accuracy.
- Lead the annual standard cost roll, including governance, timelines, validations, and communication.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and provide recommendations for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Cost & Variance Analysis
- Lead monthly cost and variance reporting, including PPV, labor and overhead variances, and absorption metrics.
- Identify cost drivers, emerging trends, and opportunities for savings.
- Provide actionable insights for pricing decisions, make‑vs‑buy evaluation, capital justification, and operational improvements.
Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and the integrity of inventory records across locations.
- Partner with plant controllers to ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Maintain and validate reserves including obsolescence and excess/slow‑moving inventory.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies related to inventory and COGS.
Systems Implementation & Process Improvement
- Define finance requirements and configurations for Oracle costing, manufacturing, WIP accounting, overhead rules, and cost flows.
- Lead UAT for costing and manufacturing modules, ensuring reliable end‑to‑end process outcomes.
- Create new cost accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls.
- Drive automation, standardization, and cross‑entity data alignment for costing and operational finance processes.
- Act as a change leader across operations, supply chain, and finance teams during the transformation.
Financial Leadership & Controls
- Support month‑end close with timely and accurate cost entries, reconciliations, and root‑cause analysis.
- Contribute to budget and forecast processes for manufacturing costs and cost of goods sold.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve audit readiness for all costing and inventory processes.

What You Bring to the Table
Education and Experience
- CPA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
- Experience designing or implementing costing structures—beyond maintenance.
- Direct experience with Oracle Cloud or Oracle EBS costing modules strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or major finance transformation projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in standard costing, BOMs, routings, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
- Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to build and document accounting processes and policies.
