Position: Business Intelligence Analyst
Functional Labor Category: Software Systems Engineer- Intermediate
Location: Remote (with possible occasional on-site at MacDill AFB, FL)
RedSky is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in support of a DoD client’s Directorate of Procurement eBusiness Support Team (EBST). The EBST is responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of multiple eBusiness data environments, including business intelligence and reporting platforms such as EZQuery. EZQuery is a specialized tool for developing, maintaining, and automating data reporting and extraction across diverse procurement and contract management systems. The team is also actively supporting modernization, including the potential transition to new platforms (e.g., Appian).

Responsibilities:
You will leverage your technical expertise and contracts knowledge to deliver actionable procurement data insights, ensure continuity, compliance, and the development of automated, sustainable solutions. You will collaborate with application owners, acquisition professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to fulfill evolving analytics, contracts reporting, and data management requirements.
- Lead the operation, enhancement, and integration of business intelligence and reporting platforms TO include EZQuery and potential successor systems, managing reporting, automation, analytics, and contract data solutions for the client.
- Develop, run, and optimize scripts (e.g., SQL, PowerShell, Python) to automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting across various enterprise databases, focusing on supporting procurement and contracts functions.
- Extract, integrate, and analyze authoritative data from multiple federal business and contract management systems; generate ad hoc and scheduled reports tailored to contract, compliance, and stakeholder requirements.
- Produce and deliver high-quality documentation, training guides, and user support sessions for all analytics, contracts, and reporting solutions.
- Provide responsive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for outages or performance issues, adhering to contract-specified response and reporting timelines.
- Lead or support the migration and transition of reporting/analytics and contract management capabilities to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and end-user adoption.
- Operate within all DoD and contract-mandated security, information assurance, and privacy requirements.
- Support related eBusiness activities such as helpdesk operations, dashboard and contract data management, and user access provisioning as needed.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles for Federal or DoD clients.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of government contracting principles, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), procurement lifecycle, or direct experience supporting contract management systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in querying, integrating, and analyzing data using enterprise database platforms (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and custom scripting (SQL, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise business intelligence/reporting platforms and automating complex data processes.
- Proven ability to create training and support materials for both technical and non-technical users.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8570.01M certification) required; additional technical certifications highly desirable.
