Robert Half is currently recruiting for an established and growing organization in Fort Myers that is looking for a Benefits Manager. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to play a pivotal role in our Human Resources team. This person will be responsible for taking ownership of the company’s benefits strategy/execution and ensure they deliver exceptional support to multiple locations. This person will primarily be responsible for managing the company’s benefit offerings, including running open enrollment, evaluating new benefits plans, collaborating with brokers and carriers, and providing actionable insights through the creation of benefits dashboards for the HR Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Open Enrollment Processes: Plan, coordinate, and execute the company’s annual benefits open enrollment, including hosting informational sessions and managing internal communications to ensure a smooth process for all employees.
  • Evaluate and Enhance Benefit Plans: Identify and assess innovative benefits options and trends in the market to continuously improve the company’s offerings and meet employee and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with Brokers and Carriers: Build strong relationships with external benefits brokers and carriers to negotiate benefit plan renewals, resolve claims issues, and ensure cost-effective and high-quality benefit options.
  • Develop Benefits Dashboards for Leadership: Create and maintain comprehensive benefits dashboards that provide the HR Director and leadership with real-time insights into benefits utilization, costs, benchmarks, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure Benefits Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, including Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance, and lead audits to ensure benefits programs adhere to applicable laws and company policies.
  • Employee Support and Communication: Act as a primary resource for employees regarding their benefits, offering expert advice and resolving questions or concerns with professionalism.


  • Experience: 5+ years in a benefits management or similar role, ideally with a company of similar size and complexity.
  • Knowledge: Expertise in benefits platforms, benefits administration, ACA compliance, and emerging trends in employee benefits.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, HRIS systems, and data analysis tools; experience creating benefits dashboards is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills to effectively engage employees, brokers, and leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification is a plus.
