Summary:
Marmalade Restaurant is seeking a dependable and dedicated team member to help us grow with a dual/hybrid role that will be responsible for some time as a Main Cook 30% preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items to order and some time focusing on Dishwashing 70% while assisting another cook with prep and auxiliary cooking during busy times.
The Job:
- Follow cooking and recipe procedures with both speed and consistency
- Focus on food safety and cleanliness
- Clean dishes, pots and pans, utensils and cooking equipment with intention and care and direction
- Keep the kitchen/dish/prep area clean and organized
- Complete assigned prep work to stock and set up stations
- Use knives, slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc with care and safety at all times
- Help other Team Members when possible
- Walk or stand for long periods, possibly up to 8 hours of a shift
- Carry and maneuver up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner
- Maintain cleanliness throughout dining room and restaurant to company standards
