Health Department HR Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic Health Department Team.
The Health Department Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of the Health Department’s Human Resources Policies & Procedures. This role is critical in the on-boarding of New Employees & Contract Staff, Coordination of Staff Training & Development, Credentialing of Licensed staff (part-time/full-time & contract), up-dating of departmental HR Policies & Procedures, maintaining confidential staff files and documentation, and development of an HR strategy to promote the hiring and retention of high-quality employees at all levels of the Miccosukee Health Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Strategic Development and Administration
a. Develop and maintain a comprehensive Human Resources strategy in line with both the Health Department and Tribal Leadership guidance and expectations. This plan should encompass aspects such as recruitment, support onboarding and termination processes, retention, workforce satisfaction, as well as development of patient satisfaction surveys for all levels of service within the Health Department.
2. Human Resources; Workforce Integration; Staff Engagement
a. Collaborate with Tribal HR Department to recruit and retain core of high-quality individuals.
b. Monitor individual employee and teams’ progression and report to Health Administration team.
c. Make written recommendation to Health Department leadership for employee promotions, raises, probations, and terminations based on the MTIF Human Resource Merit Policies & Procedures and Health Department Policies & Procedures.
d. Create New Job Descriptions and up-date current job as identified.,
e. Maintain a positive and constructive environment among workforce, act to mediate any employee differences, and collaborate across the Health Department for desirable outcomes.
3. Credentialing of Licensed Staff
a. Ensure proper credentialing process for entire Health Department Staff.
b. Review/confirm credentials upon onboarding staff and periodically over the year.
c. Coordinate CEU and other related trainings to ensure baseline level of training.
4. Collaboration
a. Health Planner, Health Administration, and Tribal Leadership to establish and maintain healthy relationships across the stakeholder and partnership network.
b. Build fruitful relationships that will benefit the Miccosukee Health Department and patients.
c. Coordinate with clinical staff in training and communications.
5. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Computer Literacy, Competency in Writing of Policies & Procedures, Job Descriptions, Good Problem-Solving Skills, and Conflict Resolution Skills. Experience in a Healthcare setting managing teams of clinicians and supporting staff.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Job Site: Miccosukee Health Clinic located on the Miccosukee Indian Reservation which is 20 miles west of Krome Avenue on SW 8th Street
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
