JOB SUMMARY:
A detail‑oriented HR professional specializing in payroll and benefits administration. Primary responsibilities include managing end‑to‑end payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee compensation records, administering benefit programs, supporting open enrollment, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Additional duties include HRIS data maintenance, coordinating workers’ compensation claims, and assisting employees with payroll and benefits inquiries. This role also provides support in related HR functions such as onboarding, leave of absence administration (including FMLA and other statutory leaves), policy implementation, and general employee relations to ensure smooth HR operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven HR experience in an exempt role required.
- SHRM-CP and/or PHR, FPC, and/or CPP certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of ADP platform or other comparable payroll/HR system required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of wage and hour laws.
- Excellent people skills, flexible; good judgment, ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information; customer service oriented.
- Self-directed individual with ability to work individually as well as within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability of multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to adapt to the changes of a continuously changing environment.
- Outstanding customer service skills and positive “can-do” attitude.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of company employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Manage full cycle payroll process including expense report audits, 401k administration.
- Manage benefit process including open enrollment and ongoing benefit needs.
- Develop agreements for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Participate in new hire orientation.
- Complete onboarding cycle of new hires including creation of new hire files.
- Complete offboarding cycle of terminated employment including unemployment requests, and employment verifications for past employees.
- Manage workers compensation reporting and documentation.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity retention.
- Partner with designated leaders to uphold all compliance standards (ACHC, Dept. of Labor, HR policies, etc.) and create an environment of compliance/excellence.
- Assist in the coordination of events e.g., holiday celebrations, employee recognition, service awards, community support among others.
- Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring manager and business leaders to maximize effectiveness of payroll process.
- Identify training needs for department and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of the training programs to ensure success. Follow-up to ensure objectives are met.
- Assist in leave process including FMLA, ADA, personal leaves.
- Work with the HR team to support Labor Relations strategies (i.e., grievance procedures, suspensions, terminations).
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or mandated by company needs.
