Hanley Foundation, a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support, seeks a Full-Time Driver/Courier to join our growing team at our state-of-the-art substance use/mental health treatment facility in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation participation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and clean transportation to and from meals, appointments, outside meetings, and residences on the advice of therapy and medical staff.
- Provide delivery of mail and supplies to various units on campus.
- Purchase small items for clients with the advice of therapy and medical staff
- Responsible for keeping the vehicles clean inside and out.
- Rotate the vehicles efficiently when assigning trips, as applicable.
- This person must be able to learn limited computer tasks like but not limited to checking emails and completing work orders on a computer.
- Fill in at the dispatcher position, as applicable.
- Uphold all Hanley Foundation Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain client/potential client confidentiality following Hanley's Policy.
Education/ Experience/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.
- Must complete Hanley Foundation driving course and pass the road test.
- Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license according to the driving standards policy.
- Minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports must be met according to the driving standards policy.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or obtaining these certifications within 180 days of starting employment.
- Requires flexibility with work hours and availability for on-call shifts during non-working periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods, climb into and out of vehicles, and walk around for long distances.
- The ability to lift, carry, and push heavy objects, up to 50 pounds or more.
- The ability to use hands and fingers to handle small parts or controls.
- Good vision, able to read small print and see objects at a distance.
- The ability to hear and understand sounds, such as alarms, horns, and other traffic signals.
