Position Summary

The Commercial Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the inside sales function to achieve organizational revenue objectives. This role oversees a team of inside sales representatives, develops and implements sales strategies, and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures. The position requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to drive sustainable growth in alignment with the company’s commercial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the inside sales team to achieve revenue and performance targets.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor inside sales strategies, processes, and performance standards.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop inside sales staff, ensuring ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Monitor individual and team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
  • Establish and maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management through CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and field sales teams to optimize lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  • Continuously assess market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance customer retention, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.
  • Implement process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the inside sales function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in inside sales, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a commercial B2B environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
