Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In this role, you will manage a team of accounting clerks and oversee financial processes in a regulated telecommunications environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while working collaboratively with internal departments and external partners.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide a team of accounting clerks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger management.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with departmental managers and external partners to address financial inquiries and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Assist with payroll processes and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Utilize intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Work with SYSPRO and other accounting systems to manage financial data effectively.• A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Proven ability to manage a team and oversee financial operations.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries.
• Strong skills in account and bank reconciliation.
• Experience with SYSPRO and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Good credit history with no bankruptcies.
