Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our friendly and growing team at Green Pines Animal Hospital. In this role, you will assist our veterinarians with surgeries and procedures, provide high-quality patient care, support clients with empathy, and help maintain a smooth clinical workflow. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Perform blood draws, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and in-house diagnostics
• Monitor anesthesia and support surgical preparation and recovery
• Triage patients upon arrival
• Communicate with pet owners and obtain accurate patient histories
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient charts
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of equipment
• Assist with hospitalization, nursing care, and patient monitoring
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred
- Strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of basic veterinary procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Kind, patient, and compassionate attitude toward animals and clients
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and grow with our practice
- Certification (CVT) is a plus, but not required
