House of Hope, a non-profit organization providing residential treatment to individuals suffering from substance abuse, is looking for a Staff Accountantto join our team. As a Staff Accountant your position is essential in preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities.
Essential Job Duties Include:
- Performing general accounting and other related duties.
- Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card and petty cash accounts
- Record and reconcile payroll expenses and benefits
- Assist in monthly and year end closing activities.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree in accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- One to three years’ experience in accounting and finance.
- Adept in QuickBooks online.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advance)
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to accepted accounting principles.
