Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring that all products are accurately received, stored, and shipped in a timely manner. This role involves managing a team, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the shipping and receiving operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of products.
- Supervise and train staff in the shipping and receiving department to promote productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and inventory management teams to ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished products.
- Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse space and improve inventory accuracy and control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Benefits
Annual Base Salary: $85,000 - $130,000
