Job Summary

CHW is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to support our growing multi-specialty healthcare organization, which includes OBGYN, Pediatrics, Primary Care, Aesthetics, and Corporate operations. The HRBP will serve as a strategic advisor and operational resource to managers and employees, driving key HR initiatives and ensuring alignment between business goals and HR practices. This individual will play a vital role in employee relations, talent management, compliance, and organizational development. This role will have a strong focus on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting employee success throughout the employee lifecycle.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders across all CHW divisions, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Deliver day-to-day performance management support to line managers, including coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective action guidance.
  • Foster positive employee relations by working closely with managers and staff to improve workplace relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations to resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Hold regular (e.g., weekly) meetings with assigned business units to maintain alignment and proactively address HR matters.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR team to develop targeted programs, solutions, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; partner with legal counsel as needed to mitigate risk.
  • Provide interpretation and guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support organizational changes by advising on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Draft and manage employment terms for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers.
  • Identify training and development needs across departments, including executive coaching opportunities.
  • Participate in the evaluation and follow-up of training programs to ensure they meet learning objectives and operational goals.
  • Administer health and welfare benefit plans, including reconciliation of benefit statements and conducting periodic audits.
  • Process payroll and insurance documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide high-quality customer service on HR-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate I-9 documentation and assist with background checks and onboarding tasks.
  • Support recruitment activities by tracking candidate statuses, conducting follow-ups, and assisting with the hiring process.
  • Assist with employee terminations, exit processes, and performance evaluation procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the HR team and CHW's strategic objectives.

  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues or, or 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR/ SPHR credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
    • HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
