Job Summary:
The Student Service Coordinator will provide direct services to students beginning with the student recruitment and selection process and continuing through the implementation of college readiness programming. Employees in this position participate in the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and practices that enhance the departmental operations and customer responsiveness of the department that should increase the overall service to the company.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Seven (7) years of related experience in secondary and post-secondary environments, to include two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure,
Certification, and/or Registration
Valid Driver’s License
Other
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to communicate, both
verbally and in writing; ability to work with co-workers and the public.
Should be well organized and able to adjust to changing job requirements.
Must be proficient in MS Office, Google docs and sheets, Google meet and Zoom.
Job Duties
Essential Duties
- Document and report on key performance indicators, including student data,
volunteer mentor participation, and college and career readiness.
- Ensures Key Performance Indicators for program performances determined by the TSIC state office are met or exceeded.
- Ensures that all data is submitted and reports are produced in a timely manner.
- Recruit and select students to participate in the Take Stock in Children program.
- Develop and offer workshops for students on a variety of college readiness topics including the FAFSA and financial aid process, ACT/SAT preparation, college applications, etc.
- Create workshops that offer staff and volunteer mentors key strategies and
approaches that build college readiness in students.
- Collaborate with College Success Coaches to plan program activities and events aligned with the Take Stock model and grant requirements.
- Attend the occasional special event in the evenings or weekends as scheduled.
- Communicate with schools and districts to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Leads and supports the development and implementation of various departmental programs and projects.
- Responds to a variety of questions and or problems concerning TSIC program issues and initiatives.
- Assists with employee training and development needs.
- Supervises assigned staff.
- Other duties may be assigned as directed based on the needs of the business.
