The Consulate General of Barbados is seeking candidates to join our dynamic team in Coral Gables, Florida!

Position: Administrative Assistant | Consular Services

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests of the Consulate
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, deliveries
• Answer, screen and forward incoming calls promptly and professionally
• Record and convey accurate information both in-person and via phone / e-mail
• Maintain the reception and common areas to ensure tidy, presentable and well-stocked
• Co-ordinate with the Office Manager for restocking
• Perform Clerical duties in the Accounts Section, as necessary
  • Data Entry, Scanning, Filing
• Perform Clerical duties in the Consular Section
  • Filing, Scanning, Vetting of Applications, Correspondence with applicants
• Provide support to various departments, as necessary

​Qualifications:

• General Education Diploma (GED)
• Previous experience in an administrative role similar role is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Organizational and Time Management Skills
• Legal Right to work in the United States
• Written and Verbal Communication in English
• Demonstrate High Levels of Discretion, Integrity and Reliability

Salary:
Applicants will be offered a monthly salary of USD $37,523.16 per annum with Full Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Paid Sick Leave and Paid Vacation Leave

Hours of Duty: 09:00 to 17:00 hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Monday to Friday.
