Job Description

Established boutique CPA firm in Coral Gables is seeking a Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper with public accounting experience to support tax preparation and monthly accounting for a diverse client base. This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position.

This role is ideal for someone with strong QuickBooks skills who has been exposed to tax returns and wants to grow within a CPA firm.

Key Responsibilities

Perform monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
Maintain and clean up client QuickBooks files (Desktop and Online)
Assist with preparation of individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S)
Prepare payroll and sales tax filings (Forms 941, FL RT-6, etc.)
Prepare 1099s and assist with year-end reporting
Communicate with clients regarding routine accounting and documentation
Support partners and senior staff during tax season

Required Qualifications

2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Prior experience in a CPA firm strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
Exposure to tax return preparation
Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
