Rate of Pay:The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $129,251 - $165,240 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Work with cross functional departments including production, engineering, projects management and logistics for fast resolution of the supplier issues; Evaluate supplier's systems, products, components, and applications against technical and quality requirements; Apply preventive quality methods aimed at risk minimization; Design, maintain and improve specific Quality requirements, specifications and concepts based on supplier categorization; Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Siemens requirements; Develop methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training; Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. Telecommuting and/or working from home is permissible. 25% domestic travel and 5% international travel required. [Remote role.]

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Supplier Quality -related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

Working with mechanical components testing methods and PPAP techniques for Rail Transit products.

Working with electrical components testing methods and PPAP techniques for Rail Transit products.

Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process capability analysis.

Working with FMEA, APQP, QFD, DVPR, SPC, DOE, ANOVA, RCA, Kaizen, Kanban, Value stream mapping, Cellular manufacturing and single piece flow techniques.

2 years of experience working with Honeycomb panel lamination & bonding.
