Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including progress monitoring, data collection, and required documentation.
Provide individualized instruction aligned with state standards, functional life skills, communication, social-emotional development, and academic goals.
Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, diapering, hygiene, feeding, lifting, positioning, and other activities of daily living while preserving student dignity and safety.
Create and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning, behavior, and independence through evidence-based instructional practices.
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), collect behavioral data, and utilize positive behavior supports to promote student success.
Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, therapists, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure coordinated support and student progress.
Supervise, train, and direct paraprofessionals to ensure consistent implementation of instructional programs, behavior supports, and personal care procedures.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, accommodations, assessments, and compliance requirements in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Plan and facilitate Community-Based Instruction (CBI) experiences that develop functional academics, vocational skills, independent living skills, and community participation.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students by following district procedures, medical protocols, and emergency response guidelines.
