Hospital-Based Pathologist Opportunity – Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Alan B. Miller Medical Center – Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Alan B. Miller Medical Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in Palm Beach Gardens, is actively seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our growing team. This is a hospital-based position offering the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with experienced colleagues.
Position Highlights:
<ul>
<li>Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.</li>
<li>Fellowship training in general or subspecialty anatomic pathology required.</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years of experience preferred.</li>
<li>Active Florida medical license required.</li>
<li>Shared on-call schedule; 5 weeks of vacation annually.</li>
<li>Grossing will be performed by a certified Pathologist Assistant</li>
<li>No autopsy responsibilities</li>
<li>Opportunities to participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (held three times/month)</li>
</ul>
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Conduct thorough examination and evaluation of surgical pathology specimens.</li>
<li>Independently perform frozen sections and assess specimen adequacy for cytology.</li>
<li>Manage a daily mixed caseload of 30–35 specimens, including:</li>
<ul>
<li>Breast (core biopsies and excisions)</li>
<li>Thoracic pathology</li>
<li>Non-neoplastic and limited neoplastic GYN.</li>
<li>GU, GI, Neuro, limited Head &amp; Neck</li>
<li>Limited Hematopathology</li>
<li>Cytology: thyroid, lung EBUS, GI EBUS</li>
</ul>
<li>Work closely with laboratory staff and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.</li>
