Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Expand our Client's footprint in the local stormwater market via targeted business development strategies, including growing specific client relationships and participating in select professional society activities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Stormwater Leads across the US to develop/implement strategy for continued stormwater growth and innovation.</li>
<li>Build a stormwater project delivery team in Florida.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>10+ years of experience in Storm water / Water Resource engineering</li>

<li>Strong design of Stormwater for municipal clients</li>
<li>Familiarity with standard stormwater analysis tools, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.</li>
<li>Experience working with Florida Water Management Districts</li>

Florida Stormwater Practice Lead

Voice Engineering Lead
In this role, you will be responsible for new capability requirements and design, system assessments, and providing hands-on engineering support. Key elements of this position include: conducting analysis and assessments on new emerging technologies; developing and recommending functional design solutions to meet stakeholder requirements; providing Tier III support to the Joint Network Operations Center (JNOC); developing, engineering, and recommending hardware and software solutions; and conducting cybersecurity mitigations on design solutions to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity requirements.
Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)</li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Develop presentations to stakeholders articulating the gaps, requirements, objectives, functional and solution architecture. The contractor shall also develop, review, and update briefings, papers, and/or spreadsheets to meet customer requirements.</li>
<li>Provide analysis for how the operational, functional, and performance requirements will be met as part of the system design, test and implementation of initial capabilities.</li>

We are currently searching for an experienced Ports Engineer Practice Lead to support our Southeast Region located in Florida. 
 
To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

What you’ll be doing:
<ul>
<li>Serving as a practice builder and growing the SE Region’s ports practice</li>
<li>Conducting ongoing business development activities </li>
<li>Hiring, managing, and motivating staff</li>
<li>Independently performing and supervising structural analysis and design for marine and upland components</li>
<li>Independently performing and supervising berthing and mooring analyses</li>
<li>Leading development of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for a variety of port projects</li>
<li>Applying a strong understanding of maritime codes and references including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61</li>
<li>Independently preparing basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analyses, and study reports</li>
<li>Utilizing your appropriate understanding of interdisciplinary requirements for port projects to improve project processes and perform QA/QC reviews</li>
<li>Attending client meetings and performing site visits</li>
<li>Mentoring a team of developing port and maritime engineers</li>
<li>Leveraging existing industry relationships to promote Volkert ports services and cross-sell across all disciplines</li>
<li>Performing additional responsibilities as required by the region’s business needs</li>
</ul>

What you need to have:
<ul>
<li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering</li>
<li>Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures </li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Previous experience in analysis and design of medium to large scale ports/maritime/structures and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in business development</li>
<li>Ability to hire, manage, and motivate staff</li>
<li>Existing relationships with port entities in FL </li>
