Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise student employees within Student Engagement & Leadership.
- Advise and support registered student organizations and their student leaders.
- Direct supervision of Graduate Assistant/Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, training, and operational support for more than 90 registered student organizations.
- Develop and facilitate training programs for student organization officers and advisors related to leadership, event planning, risk management, fiscal responsibility, university policies, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support for student organization budgeting, funding requests, financial procedures, and responsible stewardship of university and student fee resources.
- Consult with student leaders regarding event planning, contracts, travel, fundraising, risk management, and university policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary administrator for Suitable and ECHO, ensuring effective utilization across Student Engagement & Leadership and campus partners.
- Manage the training, implementation, assessment, and ongoing development of Suitable as the university's engagement, pathways, and event management platform.
- Provide training and support to students, faculty, staff, and campus partners utilizing Suitable and ECHO.
- Utilize engagement data, participation metrics, and assessment tools to evaluate student involvement and inform departmental decision-making.
- Lead Student Engagement & Leadership marketing and communication efforts, including social media management, digital signage, newsletters, website content, event promotion, and student-facing communications.
- Assists with the leadership, coordination, and daily operations of the R.I.S.E. Center, supporting programs and initiatives that foster student belonging, engagement, leadership development, and student success.
- Collaborate with University Communications and campus partners to ensure consistent branding and messaging for student engagement initiatives.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and student focus with the ability to operate in a collaborative and professional manner with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse university community.
- Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Experience:
- Master's degree in higher education/student affairs or related field from a regionally accredited college or university;
- A minimum of one years of experience, on a college or university campus;
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines.
• Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone.
